On the 18^th March 2012 a Junior Squash friendly match was held at Market Harborough Squash Club. 21 players from each county took part with a mixed team from Northants and a boys only team from Leicestershire. Player ages ranged from 9  to 16 years old.
 
On the day there was some very good squash played. The behaviour of all players was excellent both on and off court and they all represented their respective counties very well.
 
Some of the matches were very close, in particular Tom Wills (Leic’s) versus Tom Lane (Northants) with Tom Lane just winning by 3 games to 2 and young Chris Wardley ( Leic’s) just losing out to Luke Dennis (Northants) by the same score line.
 
Although the majority of the matches went 3 to 0 either way the score lines showed there was some good squash played with Northants coming out on top by winning the match by 13 games to 8.
 
I would like to say a big thank you to all the players, parents and Committee members who helped out on the day. The last thank you is to Steve & Alison Avil for letting both counties use the Market Harborough Squash Club for the match.
