The Boys U17 Inter County fixture was held at Brampton Manor Squash Club on the 29th January 2012. The counties involved were Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Essex and Suffolk.
 
In the first match Leicestershire played Suffolk. Good wins from George  Parker,  Luke Parker, Patrick Sadd and Tim Arthur gave us the match quite comfortably with a 4: 1 win. George Morgan just missed out by losing  3:2.
 
The second match against Essex (who were favourites) was really hard for all the players and we were beaten 4:1. There was a good win from Tim Arthur who came back from being 2:0 down to win 3:2. Also there was a good performance by George Parker ( who played Richie Fellows the England Under 17 number one) and although losing 3:0 all the games were very tight with the score line showing 11:9 11:7 11:9. There were also good efforts by Luke Parker ( who narrowly lost 3:1), Patrick Sadd and James Payne but alas Essex were too strong for us.
 
Despite good efforts in the first three ties by Patrick Sadd, Tim Arthur and George Morgan, we lost the last game against Derbyshire 4:1.  However in the last  two ties there was a good win from George Parker (against Russell Clark who is currently ranked 6 in England - George is currently ranked 7). Although the score was 3:0 to George it is worth mentioning the actual score line which was 18:16 11:7 15:13 and as you can imagine it was a very tight game. The last game was Luke Parker against his old rival Adam Turner (who is currently ranked 16 in England - Luke is ranked 19) and unfortunately after a long game and a lot of effort by both players Luke lost the match 3:2.
 
I would just like to say a thank you to all the players who played very well and gave 100% whether they won or lost .
